Participants experienced an average income increase of 200–300% after completing vocational training programmes.
Market-oriented skill training for sustainable employment and livelihood creation — delivered as a DDU-GKY project implementing agency.
Understanding
Vocational and livelihood training equips people with practical skills and competencies that translate directly into employment opportunities and income generation.
Our training is market-oriented — aligned with current industry demands and local economic opportunities, so participants can secure sustainable livelihoods on completion. Since the first beautician courses of 2003, 18,592+ youth have been trained across 5 districts with a 90%+ placement rate.
As a PIA (project implementing agency) for DDU-GKY (PRN: TN2015RT7221) and a training partner of TNSDC (Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation), we work closely with government agencies and industry partners to ensure every course meets market requirements and provides pathways to formal employment or self-employment.
Comprehensive skill development in trades and services is combined with entrepreneurship training, recognised certification and job placement support — career counselling, interview preparation and direct placement assistance.
Why this work matters
Generic courses leave rural youth with certificates the market doesn't ask for — and no employer at the end of them.
Every course is aligned with current industry demand and local economic opportunities — trained youth achieve a 90%+ placement rate.
Without recognised credentials or industry connections, formal employment stays out of reach for rural young people.
As DDU-GKY PIA (PRN: TN2015RT7221) and TNSDC training partner, we deliver recognised certifications that open doors to formal employment.
Low, irregular earnings keep families from investing in their own future.
Participants experienced an average income increase of 200–300% after completing vocational training programmes.
Aspiring entrepreneurs stall without the business skills to turn a trade into an enterprise.
Entrepreneurship training has helped over 500 participants start their own enterprises — creating additional employment in their communities.
